Gianmario Guidarelli

Gianmario Guidarelli (Siena, Italy, 1974) is an architectural and urban historian, his fields are Italian Medieval architecture and Renaissance Venetian architecture. Since earning his Phd in architectural and urban history at the School of Advanced Studies in Venice, he has worked as a teaching assistant in Duke University (NC) and as teacher in universities of Venice and Bergamo. He’s currently research fellow at University of Padua, adjunct professor of Medieval Art in Studium Generale Marcianum (Venice) and director of the project “Chiese di Venezia, Isole e Terraferma Veneziana”. Has also published a book on the architecture of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice and some articles about the urban and architectural history of Venice, religious architecture in the Renaissance and the Cathedral of Naples, which was the topic of his PhD dissertation.
