Aden Evens

Aden Evens is Assistant Professor of English at Dartmouth College, where he teaches and writes about new media, digital studies, music, mathematics, and philosophy. His first book, Sound Ideas, explores the many ways in which technologies shape the aesthetics of sound and music, focusing particularly on the aesthetic consequences of digital as opposed to analog technologies. He is currently completing a second book, Logic of the Digital, which undertakes a cautious critique of the increasing prevalence of digital technologies in our culture by analyzing their underlying techno-logical principles. He lives in Hanover, New Hampshire, with lots of pets but fewer and fewer children each year.
