MaryLeigh Morbey

Mary Leigh Morbey is Associate Professor of Culture and Technology and serves as the Associate Co-Director of the York Institute for Research on Learning Technologies. She researches, teaches, and publishes widely on the theory, history, practice, and education of Web participatory and Social Media technologies and technological mediations in visual culture with an emphasis on the Global South. She leads an international research team conceptualizing and designing participatory architecture for a Web 2.0 virtual space for the Uganda National Museum in Kampala. Currently Professor Morbey is a Senior Research Scholar in the Duke University Information Sciences + Information Studies (ISIS) Program.
