Pavithra Vasudevan
Pavithra Vasudevan is a graduate student in the Department of Geography at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She works in Warren County, North Carolina, considered the birthplace of environmental justice. Her work focuses on how the people of Warren County negotiate ongoing legacies of toxicity, using film and performance. Prior to graduate school, Pavithra was a dancer and youth worker in New York, and brings this commitment to the arts and social justice to her academic work.
