CHAT Festival 2012 Director, panelist, and exhibitor. Assistant Research Professor of Visual Studies and New Media in the Department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies at Duke University. Program Director for Information Science + Information Studies. Co-Director of the GreaterThanGames Interdisciplinary Humanities Lab, and affiliate of the Haiti and BorderWork(s) Labs. Core collaborator in the Wired! Lab for Visualizing the Past. Special interests in spatial humanities and mapping, digital cultural histories, and virtual worlds as they intersect with databases, lived experience, and hybrid reality systems. Victorianist by training and intellectual inclination. ACM SIGGRAPH 2013 Art Gallery Chair and member of the MLA IT Committee working on questions of how (among other things) to evaluate digital scholarship in the humanities.
