Amanda Starling Gould

As a student of digital literary media at Duke, Amanda is investigating how technologies of expression become technologies–qua agents–of thought and discovery; how the visible textures and invisible networks of techno-scientific new media affect and effect modern thought and literature; how the shape of a literary work–its legible topographies, its structural architectures, its digital immaterialities, and its transmedia contexts–influence its discursive function; and how well we understand the cultural and historical conventions and expectations of visual-literary communication.

She also studies the phenomenologies of built spaces - both digital and analog - and of emergent and affective architectures.

For the 2012 CHAT Festival, Amanda is conducting a sort of Hybrid/Augmented Reality Intervention using QR Codes. See http://texturalliterature.blogspot.com/p/chat-fest-qr-code-intervention-2012.html for more information.
